Gossamer Blue Inspiration Blog Hop

Hello, and welcome to another edition of the Gossamer Blue Inspiration Blog Hop! Have you noticed that in the world of kit clubs it's always go, go, go and often before you've even received your kit in the mail there are is already buzz about the next kit? It can be frustrating. We at Gossamer Blue want you to know that we feel your pain and are here with some June inspiration for those of you who are currently knee-deep into this month's kit! 

 

This layout was really fun to make - it's very journaling heavy because it's a layout that tells a story.  Usually, we create layouts about the things we have photos of - birthdays, graduations, vacations, etc. But this layout tells a story that I didn't have a specific picture to go along with - it's all about my daughter and her imaginary sister.  Her "sister" has been around for a couple of years now, and if you didn't know any better, you'd probably think her sister was real!  I am completely in love with the vellum hearts that came in the June Life Pages kit. I included a bunch of them, along with some of the other fun heart embellishments!

In addition to our monthly blog hop, we have an extra special announcement today!  A brand new design team!  I am so, so honored to be a part of the Gossamer Blue team for my fourth year! This has been one of the greatest design teams I have ever been a part of!  I am so happy to be back for another year, and I can't wait to work with all of these talented women!

Don't Smile {October Afternoon}

 

Happy Monday! I am back on the alphabetical catch-up train!  We have arrived at the D layouts! ;)  This one, "Don't Smile" is a layout I made for an October Afternoon blog challenge.  It was my challenge - to create an "What's Old is New" layout - either using old products or in an old style. I did a little of both. This is a scraplift of an older OA layout of mine AND I use some crazy old product in it!!

She Reads {Fancy Pants Social Saturday}

I am taking a day off of my alphabetical catch-up to post a Fancy Pants layout, since today is Social Saturday on the Fancy Pants blog.  This is actually a layout I made last month, but never shared (shocking, I know). ;) I am in love with all things "Making Waves."  The colors, the patterns, and the font of those fun die cut alphas! I don't often make non-person layouts anymore...but I really wanted to document the fact that I finally started reading again last year!  

This is a fairly simple and straightforward layout compared to most of the things I create! However, sometimes when you truly just wanted to focus to be the journaling, I think it's okay to keep things simple!  Have a great weekend!!

Buddies {Gossamer Blue Pinspired}

 Another layout in my alphabetical catch-up! I'm a bit concerned that this is my third post, and we are still in the "B"s!  This layout was for my monthly Pinspired challenge on the Gossamer Blue blog back in March.  I adore this photo of my son and his friend - and their jacket colors worked perfectly with the blues and greens in the March kits!

This is yet another "stuff" layout. It seems to be something I find myself doing more and more lately...and I can't say that it bothers me! ;) I like stuff...and I like stuff on my layouts, ha!  To see the original inspiration piece, check out the post on the GB blog! Have a great day! :)

Birthday Boy {October Afternoon Layout}

Continuing with my alphabetical catch-up...another B layout. This one is old. REALLY old. I can't believe I never shared this here!!! This was one of the very first layouts I made when I was added to the October Afternoon team last year!  It's hard for me to believe that in a couple of months this little guy will be celebrating another birthday!!  

Another technique I love is color on color - which I did in each segment here!

Alphabetical Catch-Up... :)

I think maybe I should give up on blogging! ;) Instead, I am going to play a quick alphabetical catch up...just starting at the beginning of my "unblogged" folder and sharing layouts in alphabetical order! ;)  First up - BIRTHDAY KIDDOS - made for the October Afternoon blog! Yet another "filled with stuff" kind of layout!!  I love how bright and colorful it is - OA has such fun colors and embellishments!!
