NYE Brunch

In honor of the last day of September, I have one final Gossamer Blue layout from this month to share!  It's a super simple, super quick layout that I made featuring four instagram shots I took back on New Year's Eve day when I met my friend Kelly for brunch.  I've been trying really hard lately to make some layouts for ME that are about things other than my kids!  I had printed these photos out a few months ago, but finally got around to using them on this layout. Those aqua Heidi Swapp letters from the Bits and Pieces kit were quite possibly my favorite thing in all the September kits!  LOVE.

All right...bring on October!! ;)

The {not-quite} love notes...

Friday was "Send a Love Note" day, and I was assigned the duty of creating a "love note" themed card for the Pebbles blog. Um, yeah...if you know me, you know my idea of a love note is something like a post-it stuck on the mirror AND that making cards kind of terrifies me. ;)  But, an assignment is an assignment, so I did my best to create a couple of fall-ish cards, that don't exactly fall into the love note category...but I won't tell if you won't! ;)  

I'm not a huge "themey" scrapper, but I LOVE how the fun Halloween papers in the Thirty-One line are so vertile that they can be used on pretty much any project!  To see the cards, check out my post over at the Pebbles!  I can't believe it's almost October! Where did this month go?!

Hello!  I had a new layout up on the Gossamer Blue blog on Friday for my monthly "Pinspired with Gossamer Blue" challenge!  I knew before I had the baby that I would need to post this right after he was born, so I made the base layers before we went to the hospital. I had a "boy" and a "girl" card from the Fancy Pants ephemera pack ready and waiting, along with a bunch of coordinating embellishments to finish off the layout!  When Oliver turned out to be of the boy variety, it was very easy to just piece the rest of the layout together!!  I noticed that all of the layouts I've made recently have used the exact same color scheme. ;) What can I say?! I love me some aqua and orange!!

Pinterest Proves, vol. 1

Hello! So, I'm just going to assume that if you read this blog you are probably on Pinterest. Because really, who isn't on Pinterest? ;) Anyway, if you are like me, you pin and pin and sometimes forget to back even look at all the fabulous things you've pinned.  So...in an effort to force myself to actually utilize Pinterest, I thought I'd start a little blog series called "Pinterest Proves..." in which once a week I go through my bajillion pins and find common themes among things I like. I figured it would be good for me and provide (perhaps) a little inspiration for you!  Not to mention that this blog gets a little quiet sometimes and this will help me post a bit more often!  If you'd like to follow me on Pinterest, the link is to the right!  So...for my very first Pinterest Proves post...

Playing with Slime!

Happy Tuesday!  Sunday was the debut of the September Gossamer Blue kit!  This kit is filled with all kinds of fun products including lots of new Carta Bella, My Mind's Eye, Teresa Collins and tons of great Gossamer Blue exclusives!  This is the layout I made with the Main Kit only. :)  It's a little wonky, but when you're making a layout about slime, is there any other way to be? ;)

I didn't have a chance to take any close-ups of this one...but I think most of the time my layouts are pretty self-explanatory! ;)  Hope everyone in the U.S. had a great Labor Day weekend!  Be sure to enter the Pebbles giveaway below!!!
