There are only a few more days before the full reveal of the April Gossamer Blue kit. I must say, this has been one of my favorite kits...oh wait...I say that every month. ;) But really...it is filled with all kinds of brand new Dear Lizzy, Amy Tangerine, and Crate Paper. LOVE it all. Here are few sneaks of the layouts I made:

I have a layout up of the Pebbles Blog today for "Whip it Up Wednesday." This layout was fun and easy to make. The part that took the longest was using my Cameo to cut out the circles!!
Also, I have to say...I feel like I have this knack for creating DT layouts that I can't share weeks in advance, and then sometime between the time I made it and the time it posts, another scrapper (usually someone more well-known than myself, which is pretty much everyone, ha!) makes a very similar layout, and I worry that it will look like I just stole the idea. That kind of happened with this layout. I think this is the third time this has happened with my Pebbles layouts! And, maybe you can't even picture the other layout I'm talking about...which is good...I'm probably overreacting. But it kills me to think that anyone would think I just lifted someone else's work without credit! So...if this looks like another recently shared layout, I promise from the bottom of my heart that I made mine weeks ago!!
I have my final Gossamer Blue layout from March to share today! This was my second "Pinspired" layout this month. I was inspired by this quilt:

I know the chevron trend has been done over and over again, but this was my first time using it in this way. I was pretty laid back about it all...if you look closely you'll notice that some of my strips are upside down and it's all very imperfect, which is how I like it!! :)
Today is the first day of my Spring Break! Yay!! What are your plans for this fine Monday? :)

I made this a couple of weeks ago when I had the pleasure of scrapping with my very best friends. Some of us are almost five hours apart, but we all met in the middle for a super fun weekend of scrapping, eating, laughing, and all those things that good friends do! I realized after we got there that I had forgotten part of my Selphy printer (and had not brought any photos to scrap with!!) so I had to use the Archivers photo printer, which cut off the top of poor Henry's head in these pictures! Argh! Otherwise it was a fun and truly "quick and easy" layout to make! Have a great weekend!!
Did you see the newest mid-season release that was featured on the Pebbles blog this week?? Lakeside. I have to admit, I am crazy excited about this. It is definitely my favorite Pebbles line in awhile. I'm loving it so much, and here are a few of my favorite items! I can't wait to get my hands on it all!! :)
This week's topic is brought to you by the lovely Angie. :) She suggested, in honor of everyone's favorite green holiday, that we discuss the topic of luck. Okay...full disclosure: 1) I'm not Irish. Not one little bit. I'm apparently every other European nationality under the sun, but not Irish. ;) 2) I don't believe in luck, with the exception of bad luck. I seem to have a lot of that lately. Like...husband leaves for the week the same day we get 8 inches of snow. Like...three calls in three weeks regarding my sick children at daycare. Like...goodbye $525 dollars to root out my pipe so the sewer doesn't back up into my house. Fun times, people...fun times. But, I'm a team player, so I'll play along. If I DID believe in luck...these are some things that I might find lucky.
1. Red shoes. I don't know what it is...but red shoes always bring goodness. I've had many different pairs throughout my life, and they've all served me well.
2. Good music. Did you ever hear a song on the radio on the way to work and just know it was going to be a good day? Usually I hear crap like Ke$ha on my way to work, which is probably why my days usually stink, ha! ;)
3. The sun. Seriously. I love the sun. It can turn my day around. It can bring me joy. If I believed in luck, I'm sure it would bring it. It is amazing...and it really should come out more!!
4. 11:11. I have been a "Make a wish, it's 11:11!" girl for about as long as I can remember. People who have known me since I was in high school will still say it to me. I had a random ex-boyfriend mention it once. 11:11. It's serious business.
5. A smile. Okay, I don't know that this one has anything to do with luck. But I've found that if I do things with a smile on my face...well, better things happen. I need to remind myself of this often, otherwise all those "bad luck" instances start to overshadow all the "good luck" instances in my life. Though, as I've stated...I really don't believe in luck. ;)

Good morning! Friday, my second "Pinspired with Gossamer Blue" challenge went up on the GB blog! This month, two of my layouts were inspired from Pinterest! My first layout is super simple and was inspired by a piece of word art on Pinterest!
I think the sentiment matches the photos quite well! ;) This was definitely a "quick and easy" layout. I wanted the main focus to be the photos and the title...the rest is just a little background noise!

Happy Thursday. This has been a weird week in the Spahn household. Monday was a holiday (C. Pulaski day for all those outside of the Chicagoland!!), Tuesday we had a snow day, yesterday and today I have been home with a sick little dude, and tomorrow I'm off to a workshop. Crazy! Today I have another Gossamer Blue layout to share with you! I have to admit, I find myself making a conscious effort to make more layouts of Henry! Part of this is because I have tons of photos already printed and ready to use from over a year or two ago, and of course the vast majority of them are of Mirirelle! So, she naturally gets picked more often just because I already have the photos!!! So, this is a layout dedicated just to my little guy!

I loved the dark woodgrain Glitz paper, but I only had small sheets of it (from the Bits and Pieces kit), so I decided to cut them up and create a little "panneled" section on the bottom. I've had this Silhouette cut sitting in my library for awhile, and this was the perfect layout to use it on! Also - my most used item in this month's kit?? Those adorable little Freckled Fawn stars from Add-on #2. LOVE them.
Also, this month Gossamer Blue and Elle's Studio are pairing up for a little scraplift challenge! Definitely check it out for the chance to win some fabulous prizes! Have a great day!
Good Saturday morning!! It's officially March! That's crazy! Wasn't it just the New Year?? I have the first of my March Gossamer Blue layouts to share with you today. This kit is filled with so many great colors and the coordinating black color kit fits perfectly! There are brand new Elle's Studio, Glitz, and Echo Park products. This layout is my main-kit only layout!
