I had a layout up on the Pebbles blog today! All the products in this layout are part of the gorgeous new Walnut Grove line that Pebbles debuted at CHA summer. It's so so pretty! I love the great mix of patterns and colors. It's a line that matches without being matchy, if that makes any sense!! This layout includes pictures of my silly girl at a local strawberry festival this summer. She takes her fashion and accessorizing very seriously!! Thanks for stopping by!

One of my assignments as the guest for Scrapbook Circle this month was to create a layout that features this super cool washi tape from Freckled Fawn. Okay, so when I read this...I was like "DUDE." Do you remember this post? Yeah...the extent of my washi usage up until this point has basically been a strip here or there to adhere a photo...but I was supposed to use it in a "creative" way. YIKES. After a lot of debate, I decided to use the washi to create a custom frame for my layout. Of course, only after I put it all together did I realize that because it wasn't a square it wouldn't match up perfectly at the corners. Silly me. {Insert obligatory self-deprecating comment about this is why I'm not a math teacher...} I did a little trimming, and it all looked okay in the end! I have another Scrapbook Circle layout to share today! This features all kinds of new American Crafts Amy Tangerine goodies! I've been on a mission to scrap old photos lately, hence the picture from a year and a half ago!!! :) I feel like this layout is a bit of a throwback to my "old" style...not that it's really evolved all that much over the years! But all the layers and the black pen outline make it quite reminiscent of my layouts from a couple of years ago!! I like it...the Amy Tangerine products were my favorite parts of the kit!
I'm finally getting around to sharing the last layout I made with the totally fabulous Gossamer Blue September kit! This layout was a bit out of my comfort zone! It's pretty "artsy" and also includes sewing, which is something I am really trying to include more in my layouts. This was a layout where I had the "idea" long before I had a photo picked out. I think the ladies at Archivers thought I was nuts as I pieced this whole thing together, but I truly love the final result! As for the story...I knew I needed something "beachy" to go along with the look of the sun and the water, and I didn't have a ton of great beach photos, so I chose this one of Miri this summer. If you look closely, you can see her name written in the sand behind her! Thanks for looking, and have a great Monday!
Happy Friday! A month or so ago, I received a happy email from Lisa, owner of the Scrapbook Circle kit club asking if I'd like to be a guest designer. I jumped at the chance! I've long been an admirer of her kits and even thew my name in the hat for their most recent design team call. The kit, Talk of the Town (which is unfortunately now sold out), is packed full of all kinds of fun items. I'll be sharing my work over the next week or so, but for now, here is my favorite layout made with the kit! :)

I have another Gossamer Blue layout to share today. I have loved the song "Home" by Edward Sharpe and the Magnificent Zeroes since I first heard it on the Visa commercial a couple of years ago. I immediately went online to find out who sang it and downloaded it that very day. :) I've since seen the lyrics on prints and t-shirts and everything else under the sun. When I saw the adorable Basic Grey house chipboard included in this month's kit, I knew right away that I wanted to use it for a layout featuring these lyrics. The funny part? I have searched high and low to find out if the words are "whereever" or "whenever," because I've seen both. After listening to the song a gon of times, I've concluded that they actually do sing both versions, so I picked the one I liked best! :)
