It's been a busy week around the Spahn household! It was the first week back to school, and I'm exhausted!! Today it's gray and rainy, so we've been snuggled up watching movies. I have one last Gossamer Blue sneak for you. If you look closely...you'll notice I actually SEWED on a layout. Insanity! ;) The kit will be live next Saturday, September 1st! I can't wait to share my full layouts! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!
Last night I had the pleasure of scrapbooking with local scrapper Latrice. We had a great, though slightly unproductive time!! I left with only one fully completed layout!!! Here is one I started last night and put the finishing touches on today...a "just for me" layout, yay! This layout uses the Summer of '69 kit from Studio Calico and also some the October Afternoon Woodland Park goodies they sold in the shop. Love them!! I was totally inspired by this awesome card that I found on Pinterest. :) Hope you are all having a great weekend!

The August kit is now sold out (I believe there is maybe one subscription left), but let me tell you...I received my September kit in the mail, and I literally did a happy dance around my kitchen. It's INCREDIBLE. And did you see that the fabulous Christine Middlecamp has been added to the full time design team? Awesome!! I'm deep in the middle a bunch of scrappy assignments, so there's not much I can share with you yet, but hopefully I'll have something soon! Have a great week! :)
I have a color challenge up at write.click.scrapbook today. I chose this image from Pinterest as my inspiration:

This is the layout I created. It's a bit of a "faux" die cut background. I love that look...you know the one...where you use your Cameo to cut a bunch of shapes out of single piece of paper. Yeah, well I don't have a Cameo, so I had to improvise!! I used a bunch of different patterned papers and my two sizes of star punches to create a background. This layout uses a pretty old Studio Calico kit...Into the Woods!! Let's not talk about how many I have sitting around! ;) I always feel a little like a phony when I use mist splotches!! I never know how to do it "right"...but I think they look okay here!

It's the first day of August! I really shouldn't have an exclamation point there. It should just be a sad face. :( August marks the end of summer, as I go back to school two weeks from today. It's been such a fun couple of months. I'm so sad to see it end!! This month's gallery at write.click.scrapbook focuses on all things summer. I created a layout using some photos that I've had forever of "Summerfest" at a local children's farm. I used the Studio Calico Elmwood Park kit (+ some add-ons).
