Beauty School Drop-Out...

Tomorrow is the first day of July, and that means two things! First...Happy Birthday Mom! ;)  Second...there is a new gallery up at write.click.scrapbook!  This month's theme was "5 products."  This really wasn't too much of a challenge for me...since I'm not a big embellisher to begin with! ;)  In fact, I ended up adding the doily because I needed one more "product." (I didn't think staples counted!)  My five products were: patterned paper, thickers, doily, washi tape, and 1 button!

This layout totally makes me smile. Last summer my stepmom found a bubble recipe online and made it for my daughter to try.  Unfortunately, Mirielle was way more excited about "washing her hair" with the bubble solution, which was quite the mess!!  I think her hair produced suds for about the next three baths!!  As I said on the layout...it's a good thing she's so cute! :) This layout uses the Studio Calico City of Lights kit.

Busy, busy...

We want to fill it with someone who knows us and loves us. Someone who will help make us great and will shout from the rooftops that write. click. scrapbook. is one awesome scrapbooking site.

As a write. click. scrapbook. teammate you will be responsible to provide a minimum of one layout per month for our monthly galleries, and you will host the blog for one week, and a handful of single days. Team members also help one another by providing pertinent layouts to support the other blog authors.

We love pages that are well-designed, and tell good stories. Our teammates not only scrapbook well, but also write well, as they must share their love and knowledge of scrapbooking through a week of blogging. Good photography is an asset as well.

Everyday Summer...

Good morning!  I have a post up at write.click.scrapbook today about scrapping the everyday moments of summer and not stressing out about "event" scrapping!  There are eight layouts that feature everday summer themes...including some oldies but goodies! Check it out! :)

Summer Soak!

I had the pleasure of scrapping with two of my good friends last night! We had a great girls night that included a trip to IKEA, an excellent dinner, and finally a few hours of fun at Archivers. I only made two layouts, well 1.5! ;)  The first one isn't finished yet. But this one IS done. Very simple...but I like it!  Also, I just got a new laptop, and all the colors are looking a little wonky to me...so on my computer at this very moment the scalloped Crate Paper sticker looks kind of green...in real life it's yellow.  How does it all look to you?!  ;)  This uses the Studio Calico Story Hour kit!

Monster Max

Good morning! I have a layout to share with you today that I created awhile ago, but never got around to posting. This was made with one of my Midnight Rooster kits. :)  It's funny...after since I made it, I can't shake the feeling that it looks exactly like another one of my layouts (the overall sketch) but I don't know which one! I love this photo of Henry with his Max!! This was taken the day we got him...Max, not Henry!  ;) I can't belive this was almost a year ago!!

We are settling into summer here...how about you? Any big summer plans?

 

My perfect pair...

This month's theme was "perfect pairings" so I was paired with my good friend Katrina (totally randomly, I'm told!).  Her layout is in the post below, and here is my layout:

This layout is made with yet another older Studio Calico kit: Field Guide.  For those of you with good eyes, there IS a typo on the top journaling tag. The funniest part? I made the exact same typo on the second card, but I caught that one and corrected it. Of course, I didn't notice the first one until I was assembling the layout!!  Oh well, it makes me "authentic"...and consistent, I suppose! ;)

Hi!  Welcome to the write.click.scrapbook Birthday Blog Hop! Can you believe WCS is three years old today?!  I have a bunch of fun things to share with you today, but first...my letter! Next, I'd like to share some of the things I love about write.click.scrapbook. I'm a fairly new team member. I began in February of this year, but I have been a WCS follower since day one!  I have to admit, I was incredibly honored and humbled when our fearless leader, Marnie, approached me about joining the team.  I jumped at the chance, of course! Not only are the women who make up our collective extremely talented, they are also genuinely kind and caring people. I was amazed at how comfortable and at home I felt from day one. I love stopping by the blog every morning to get my daily dose of insightful blogging, inspiring photography, and lovely layouts from my teammates.

Speaking of layouts, I  have a layout sneak to share. For this month's gallery, we paired up with another member of the WCS team. I was lucky to be paired with the fabulous Katrina Simeck, who I happen to be friends with "in real life."  Here is the layout of hers that inspired me:
