Counting Down...

It's March!!  And in our house March = birthdays!!  But not until the end of the month...so we have a little time to prepare!  For my new readers, my kids are born two years and one day apart. This year will be our first every combined birthday party.  For Mirielle's first birthday party, I was crazy prepared...had it all planned out a month in advance. This time...I've got nothing. Okay, that's a lie. I have slowly been preparing, but nothing compared to hers!!  One fun thing we did decide to do was create a paper chain countdown calendar to help Miri see visually how long she has left until her birthday. (Thanks to my creative friends for putting this in my mind!) She's been asking since December if "my birthday's commin' soon??".  Actually seeing how many days are left helps her understand a little better! ;)  I used a bunch of old scrapbook paper and it probably took me 20 minutes to make. I made each kid a special ring with stars and their initial for when we finally arrive at their birthday.  Very cute. Very easy!
