I only had a chance to make three layouts with the March Midnight Rooster kit (which should be for sale sometime today), but I am hoping to make more because it was a fabulous kit! I was lucky enough to get the add-on this month...filled to the brim with goodness!! Here are my layouts, along with my usual commentary... ;)

This was a bit of a scraplift of myself. Back in the day (okay what day exactly, I don't know!) I *always* made inked-edge paper strips to use on my layouts (see here...and here!) I thought I'd pull out this oldie but goodie technique to showcase some of the fabulous monochromatic goodness that comes with this kit. (You know I'm a sucker for monochromatic paper!!) I'm really pleased with the way this turned out. I guess I'm not a trendy scrapper...I stick with the same ideas even after years and years...but I'm good with that. This layout also features the cute handmade fabric yo-yos that come with the kit!

I feel like this layout just didn't photograph very well. I really love it...but it looks just okay in the photo. It features another MR exclusive item...the handmade butterfly! The kit comes with two sizes and color combinations, as well as a bunch of little butterflies like the ones I've used as accents.
And my final layout. Three that I actually like this month! I guess there's always time to make something I don't like! ;) (Pardon the pasta box in the background...I wasn't sure how to get a good photo since you can see through the bottom!) Again (I know I'm starting to sound really redundant) another MR exclusive...probably my favorite this month...the little wooden pin. LOVE!!
That's it for this month...at least for now. I truly love this kit and have a couple more things in the works that I'll share when I finish!! :) Happy Wednesday!
