The February Midnight Rooster kit goes live some time today...and I am excited to share my layouts for this month with you! This kit is SO versatile! My best scrappy buddy Barb was this month's guest designer, and while we were scrapping away a couple weekends ago, we were marveling over the fact that it's difficult to tell that our layouts were made with the same kit. I that's a sign of a good kit!!
This was the first layout I made. I got a cloud punch a month or so and was very excited to use it. I love the little newsprint clouds! (You can't tell very well in the photo, but they are raised up from the background.) And seriously...how cute are these two! I can't believe it has been six months since A.J. came to visit!

This is the second layout I made. I knew immediately when I saw the giant Girl's Paperie letters that I wanted to make a layout like this...and I must say, it turned out even better than I expected. It helped that I had Barb's fancy cursive typewriter and access to her embellishments that she got with this month's add-on kit. (I did not get the add-on this month.)
This layout was inspired in part by this layout by Amber and this layout by Davinie. I've known for awhile that I wanted to make a layout with all of Miri's words (though in retrospect, I actually forgot some...oh well). I also love the look of the kraft on kraft...because seriously...you can never have enough kraft! I put the two ideas together and voila! It helps that I have a totally adorable photo, too... ;)
And my final layout. Very rarely is the last layout I make my favorite...but I really, truly love this. It might be my new favorite of this year (which I suppose isn't that hard becuse I've made less than 20 layouts this year)! I got this idea in my head in the middle of the night when I was wide awake...and the next morning it came together super quickly! And did you see...I even used my sewing machine!
